Server Intellect is proud to include a host level firewall solution with all dedicated servers at no extra cost. As part of our no cost setup we will activate and configure the host level firewall while provisioning your server. This ensures that we are delivering you not only a robust and scalable solution but a secure one as well.

The host firewall runs on each of your servers, providing protection from network attacks, or any other type of malicious program spread through unsolicited incoming traffic. The host based firewall solution inspects and filters all IP traffic; this includes both IPv4 and IPv6 traffic. The firewall tracks each network connection and determines whether the incoming traffic is allowed. All incoming traffic will be blocked unless it is either in the exceptions list, or is in response to a request from the server.

This adds another layer of security to your server in addition to the IDS/IPS TippingPoint solution which is applied across the entire network. This means you can rest easy knowing that your server has the security it needs.
