iSCSI Data Storage
Key Advantages:
- Easily Provisioned
- Highly-Scalable
- Easy Migration
- Outperforms Internal Disks
- Redundant Infrastructure
iSCSI offers a low-cost alternative to traditional fiber-channel storage solutions. It allows access to enterprise-grade Storage Area Network (SAN) storage over Ethernet, and is easily provisioned, highly-scalable (it can be expanded on-demand without human intervention), and outperforms internal disks.
Our iSCSI solution also allows customers to use snapshots or replication to create a copy of the data in any chosen one of the multiple data centers throughout the country. This service is offered at the same price and capacity bands as the primary storage and can easily be added in real-time through the customer portal.
What is iSCSI?
iSCSI is a popular storage area network (SAN) protocol, allowing organizations to consolidate storage into data center storage arrays while providing hosts (such as database and web servers) with the illusion of locally-attached disks. This provides extremely high-speed data transfers through a highly redundant network of storage servers. This not only allows for high-speed transfers, but also eliminates the risk of storing critical data on a physical hard drive in a single server. iSCSI also allows for high-end server solutions utilizing iSCSI storage for Clustering, Failover and Load Balancing configurations.
