How to create a backup job.

Explains how to create a backup job using the CDP web interface.

    Log into https://backup.serverintellect.com

 

 

 

 

Click "Open".

 

 

 

 

 

Click "Backup and Restore".

 

 

 

 

Click "Schedule Backup".

 

 

 

 

You may assign the backup job a name.

 

 

 

Define the schedule and frequency for the new Backup Task (Now, Minutely, Hourly, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly). If you want to run a Backup immediately, leave the default "Now" selected on the drop down menu.

 

 

 

 

 

Here you may select the amount of recovery points you would like (1 recovery point = incremental data that was backed up).

 

Older recovery points are automatically deleted once the limit is reached in order to create a new one.

 

You may also select the partitions that you would like to backup.

 

As of this moment the backup software does not allow for the selection of individual files and folders.
