How do I add a Domain Alias?
The Domain Alias menu allows you to Add or Delete Domain Aliases.
A Domain Alias is basically an extra domain name that points to your primary domain. Example - If sampledomain1.com was your primary domain and you added sampledomain2.com as a Domain Alias when someone typed sampledomain2.com in their browser the actual site that would load would be from sampledomain1.com.
Any email sent to your Domain Alias will be automatically forwarded to the parent domain.
Domain Alias Name The domain alias name is the full domain name that will alias the main hosted domain for this account. When connecting to the domain alias name through a web browser, you will see the same web site as the main hosted domain.
Main Domain The main domain is the main hosted domain for this account. This is the domain for which the alias has been set up for.
- Log in to the Control Panel for your Server
- Click on the Domains Icon
- Click on the Domain in your Domains List
- Click on the Domain Aliases Icon
- Click 'Add New'
