Instructions for resetting a Helm master admin password
The first thing you may want to do upon receiving your server information is change your Helm Control Panel Administrator password. This is a simple enough process, and can be accomplished in more than one way. We will examine both in this article.
First, we will walk through changing the password from within the Control Panel itself.
Step 1: Login to Helm as ‘admin’.
Step 2: Click the Password icon on the first page upon logging in.
Step 3: Enter your desired password in both fields shown, and click Save.
You should then receive a message that the password was updated successfully.
Now, we will examine how to change the Administrator password using the Helm Configuration Tool.
Step 1: Click Start, and then Run. In the Run dialog box, copy and paste the following italicized line of text:
C:\Program Files\Webhost Automation\Helm\HelmConfigTool.exe
Step 2: Click on the Admin Password Reset tab, and enter your desired password into both fields. Once entered, click OK.
You have now reset the Administrator password through the Helm Configuration Tool.
