Promoting an Email User to a Domain Administrator

This article describes how to promote a user to Domain Administrator in SmarterMail

Promoting a normal email user to an Administrator in SmarterMail will give them the ability to make authoritative changes for their domain in SmarterMail, such as deleting and creating users, settings limits, and editing spam and content filtering settings.

Start by logging into SmarterMail as 'admin'.

Once logged in, right-click on the domain you wish to promote the user for, navigate to Settings, and then Users.

Once you have located the user you wish to promote, right-click on their name and choose Edit.

In the Edit window, you will see the option for Enable as Domain Administrator. Place a check-mark in the field next to it and click Save.

Once saved, the promoted user will now function as a Domain Administrator.
