Log into your server through Remote Desktop.
Click on Start > then Run

In the run dialog box type in the following with out the quotes.
"notepad.exe C:\Program Files\SmarterTools\SmarterMail\Service\MailConfig.xml"

Click the ok button.
Delete the Sysadmin lines as indicated from the configuration file and save.

Go the your administrative tools and open the Windows Services list.

Stop and restart the SmarterMail Service.

Open open http://mail.yourdomain.com/ in your web browser. Log into SmarterMail with username admin and password admin.

Click on Settings > General Settings.

Select the Administrator tab. Enter your new password and click save.

Note: Please remember when updating your SmarterMail password to update it in your Helm Configuration as well. You can follow the instructions here for more information on updating your SmarterMail password in Helm.
