How to create a site in IIS 7

This article will walk you though the process of creating a new site in IIS 7.

First navigate to open Internet Information Services 7 (IIS7).

Once in the IIS7 Manager expand the server node.
Right-Click on the Site folder and select Add New Site.

Fill in the site name, Specify the physical path, Select the IP for the site, and fill in the full site name in the Host name field.

You may assign the new site a specific application pool by clicking the select button on the top right.

If you would like your site to run under a specific IIS user you may do this by clicking connect as under the physical path.

Here you may create or specify the user you would like the site to run under.

Once complete click OK, then OK, and OK once more to create the new site.
