To create a FTP account for accessing, login into Plesk via your browser, click on ‘Domains‘, and click on the domain you wish to create the FTP account for.
Once there, click on ‘FTP Accounts‘ and the click ‘Add New FTP Account‘.
Add the name you wish to use for the user in ‘FTP account name’. If you leave the default home directory as it is, the FTP will only have access to the domain files it was created for.
Enter and confirm a password for the user (Please always use a secure password between 5 – 12 characters, including upper and lower case letters, numbers, and characters).
Check ‘Read Permissions’ if the user will just be able to view the files on the domain or both ‘Read’ and Write’ permissions so they can upload, download, and change files.
Once done, click ‘OK‘.
Now, using the IP of the server, the domain name itself formatted for FTP (FTP://domain.com/) , or any number of third party programs, you will be able to connect to the FTP and access the files located there.
